About Us

HERO Sports is a Christian sports program sponsored by Pinckard Baptist Church in Versailles, KY. It emphasizes learning and growing both in basketball and in the bigger and more important game of life. Through the medium of sports, players learn skills and attitudes that, with the help of the Holy Spirit, help them to live full Christian lives in service to God and their fellow men.

HERO teaches players the five 'A's:

Accept	In the game, sign up to be a part of the team and be obedient to the coach.
	In life, accept Jesus as your Savior and be obedient to God.
Aim	In the game, know your purpose and do what the coach says.
	In life, know your purpose and do what God says.
Absorb	In the game, know the game plan and carry it out.
	In life, read the Bible and apply its teachings.
Action	In the game, practice to become a better player.
	In life, practice to become a better Christian.
Assist	In the game, encourage your teammates to be their best.
	In life, bring others to the saving grace of Christ.
